All middle school students take part in overnight trips designed to enhance both academic and social skills. Sixth and seventh grade classes spend three days in May at Nature’s Classroom, an environmental education setting in Lakeside, CT. Students gain a better understanding of dynamic interactions in the natural world, as well as interpersonal interactions among themselves.

Eighth grade students take an educational and fun-filled six-day trip to Costa Rica in the winter, an experience which represents the culmination of their study of Spanish. Students attend intensive Spanish language classes each morning and go on field trips to cultural and natural sites each afternoon.
