The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) praised MMFS students’ commitment to social justice in a wonderful article on their website. Students and other community members visited SPLC on the MMFS Civil Rights trip and presented the Center with a $10,000 donation raised by students in a readathon. The donation was made in honor of the late Julian Bond, the SPLC’s first president and MMFS’s first commencement speaker.
